Questions
What clients ask us
Do I need a local partner to own a mainland company?
For most activities, no. Since the 2021 amendment to the Commercial Companies Law, foreign investors can hold 100 percent of a mainland LLC in most sectors. A short list of strategic activities still requires an Emirati shareholder. We check your activity before anything is filed.
Mainland or free zone, which one do I need?
It depends on who your clients are. Mainland gives you full access to the local UAE market and to government contracts. A free zone usually fits better if you invoice abroad or serve other free zone companies. We recommend one and tell you why.
Can I open a bank account with the company?
Yes. We prepare the file and accompany the opening. The bank makes the final decision, so the quality of the application matters. We know what each bank asks for.
How long does a formation take?
It depends on the authority, your activity and how quickly your documents are attested. You get a realistic date from us at the start, not an optimistic one.
