Questions

What clients ask us

What is a UBO and why does it have to be registered?

The ultimate beneficial owner is the natural person who really owns or controls the company, usually from a 25 percent holding. UAE companies have to keep that register and file it with their authority, and update it whenever it changes.

Who has to register for AML?

Designated businesses such as real estate brokers, dealers in precious metals and stones, auditors and corporate service providers register on goAML and report suspicious transactions. We tell you whether your activity is on the list.

What is ICV and does it help my business?

In-Country Value is a score that measures how much of your spend stays in the UAE. It matters when you tender for ADNOC and other government linked contracts, where a higher certificate is worth real points.

What happens if a filing is missed?

Authorities issue fixed fines and can hold up your license renewal until the register is correct. The filings themselves are routine. The penalties are not.
